The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid (CMS) has released the
2005 HCPCS codes, which are effective January 3, 2005. CMS has
eliminated the 90-day grace period for discontinued codes in order
to be compliant with HIPAA standards, the agency said. Orthotic and
prosthetic providers can access and download the codes at
