The International African-American Prosthetics & Orthotics
Coalition (IAAPOC) Chicago, Illinois, held its annual meeting at
the Hotel Monte Leone in New Orleans, Louisiana, May 12-14.
According to IAAPOC President, Michael Lewis, CPO, Acme O&P
Labs, Chicago, Illinois, the meeting was well attended and had nice
support from participating exhibitors. He added that New Orleans
provided the perfect backdrop for the meeting, and that Tony
Thaxton, Jr., CPO, of Hanger P&O in New Orleans, who chaired
the committee that organized the meeting, contributed significantly
to the overall success.
