On May 24, the Tennessee legislature passed and sent to the
Governor legislation, which provides for licensure in orthotics,
prosthetics, and pedorthics. In the legislation, fitters of
non-custom fabricated and fitted orthotic devices are granted the
ability to continue patient care if they are certified or
registered…by a nationally recognized board or association.
