Daniel Gurley has been named as the new manager of
regulatory affairs at the American Orthotic & Prosthetic
Association (AOPA), the association announced. He tracks,
disseminates, and comments on regulatory and policy changes within
the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the
Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), and the Food and Drug
Administration (FDA), according to AOPA. Gurley also helps members
understand issues related to the Health Insurance Portability &
Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and the new Quality Standards
issued by CMS, the association added.
