The new Shock Absorber reduces or eliminates impact on a prosthesis at heel strike. This product especially benefits amputees whose prostheses include non-energy-storing feet. The Shock Absorber provides a cushion that spreads out the impact at heel strike allowing for a more natural and comfortable gait. The Shock Absorbers stiffness can be adjusted by changing high-performance polyurethane rod inserts. A standard pyramid receiver is on one end of the absorber, while the other end is compatible with 30mm tube clamps. The aluminum tube may be shortened; minimum length is 155mm.
