The Board for Orthotist/Prosthetist Certification (BOC) recently
announced that it has established the Scope of Practice for
BOC-certified pedorthists. The scope provides definitions of the
practice of pedorthics, the certified pedorthist, pedorthic
devices, general requirements for a certified pedorthist, and the
roles of a certified pedorthist in pedorthics assessment,
implementation, practice management, and professional development
and responsibility.
