The American Academy of Orthotists &
Prosthetists (the Academy) announced the appointment of David A.
Boone, PhD, MPH, CP, as its new editor-in-chief of the Journal
for Prosthetics and Orthotics (JPO). Boone has more than 20
years of experience as a certified prosthetist and has been widely
published nationally and internationally. He will begin his term as
editor-in-chief of the JPO in July 2008. Boone is
currently the director of research at Cyma Corporation in Seattle,
Washington. The selection of Boone comes after an intensive
yearlong search.
