The American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA) has
announced that it will hold “the most important AOPA Policy Forum
in recent history” from April 22-23, 2009, at the Hyatt Regency
Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia. AOPA stated, “The new
presidential administration and Congress will be faced with massive
budget issues, with Medicare topping the list of ‘must fix’
problems. The O&P community will be challenged as never before
to educate and remind members of Congress and policy makers of the
important role O&P plays in restoring lives and livelihoods.
Failure to make the O&P case could dramatically affect
reimbursements.”
