The i-LIMB Handâ„¢, developed by Touch Bionics, Livingston, Scotland, has won a silver medal in the science and medical category at the 2009 Edison Best New Product Awards. The awards focus on new products and services that excel in marketplace innovation, marketplace success, technological innovation, market structure innovation, and societal impact.
The award winners were announced at an April 1 awards gala at the Computer History Museum, Mountain View, California.
