Orthocare Innovations, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, has received a Phase I Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) award to study the effectiveness of adding closed-loop, haptic feedback capability to prosthetic devices. The project is supported by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), a division of the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS). Pravin Chaubey, an Orthocare electrical design engineer, will serve as project director for the initiative.
