The Annual Meeting Clinical Content Committee of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) has issued a call for abstracts of papers to be presented at the Academy’s 37th annual meeting and scientific symposium, scheduled for March 16-19 in Orlando, Florida. The submission deadline is July 30, 2010.
The Academy invites researchers to submit abstracts in the following categories:
- Thranhardt lectures-research- or evidence-based presentations.
- Free papers-presentations that offer solutions to common problems, patient- and practice-management techniques, innovative uses of technology, or current research findings.
- Poster presentations-overviews of a clinically relevant subject, such as a case study, critical review of the literature, or a new technique, from which conclusions can be drawn.
The committee will determine the appropriate placement of all submissions, and abstracts will be considered for both the Thranhardt lectures and free papers unless the author indicates otherwise on the submission form. According to the Academy, accepted abstracts will be published exactly as submitted in the annual meeting’s Journal of Proceedings.
All abstracts must be submitted online using the submission template and must adopt the IMRD (Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results/Discussion, and Conclusion) format. Submission guidelines are available at www.academyannualmeeting.org
