Advanced Arm Dynamics (AAD), Redondo Beach, California, has added Brian Waryck, CP, to its clinical staff. Waryck will work with the AAD clinical team at Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) and at AAD centers in three other states.
Waryck spent the first six years of his career as a prosthetist with Shriners Hospitals for Children, Springfield, Massachusetts, followed by managing a clinical office for NEBCO Prosthetics and Orthotics, Nashua, New Hampshire, according to an AAD press release. His most recent position was as a prosthetist and practice manager with Hanger Prosthetics and Orthotics, Cleveland, Ohio.
“My desire to specialize in today’s technically challenging upper-extremity prosthetic care is what led me to AAD,” Waryck said. “Providing this level of care to the soldiers at Walter Reed is important to me.”
Waryck received a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Western New England College, Springfield, Massachusetts, and earned his certificate in prosthetics at the Newington Certificate Program, Connecticut. He is a member of the Upper-Limb Prosthetic Society of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy).
“With 12 years of clinical experience, Brian is a good fit for the AAD team,” said John Miguelez, CP, FAAOP, president and senior clinical director of AAD. “His experience in pediatric upper-extremity prosthetics is also a strength.”
