Rx Textiles, Monroe, North Carolina, announced the acquisition of SPT Technology, Monroe, Minneapolis, Minnesota. The acquisition aims to capitalize on the international markets supplied by SPT Technology and to provide customers with the convenience of an expanded, single-source socket-lamination product line, according to a company press release.
“We are confident that the integrated product lines will provide our customers with the unique benefit of sourcing everything needed for socket laminations from one company,” said David Glontz, director of sales at Rx Textiles. “The international customers from SPT Technology provide Rx Textiles a great opportunity to expand our product line globally. Our number-one priority in the short term is to make sure the existing customer base is taken care of and the transition runs as smoothly as possible.”
Founded in1977, SPT Technology is a manufacturer and distributor of polyvinyl alcohol sleeves, lamination resin, carbon braid and other lamination products. Since1985, Rx Textiles has developed and manufactured products for a variety of medical needs including fabrics for O&P.
