Round Rock Orthotics & Prosthetics, Texas, named Jim McKean, CP, FAAOP, and James “Jamie” Perrone, CP, LPA, as staff prosthetists, and Mike Raney, PhD, CO, as staff orthotist.
McKean attended McMurry University, Abilene, Texas, and began his O&P career at Abilene Artificial Limb in 1983. He later opened his own company, Advanced Prosthetic Services, which was bought by Hanger Prosthetics & Orthotics, Austin, Texas, in 2003, and where he then served as practice manager.
Perrone attended the University of Houston, Texas, and then worked as an electrical engineering technician at Medical Center Prosthetics, Houston, Texas, specializing in upper-limb systems. Certified in 2004, Perrone served for ten years in the same Hanger facility as McKean, four of those as practice manager.
Raney has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in psychology from Humboldt State University, Arcata, California, and a doctorate in applied statistics and research methods from the University of Northern Colorado, Greeley. Raney earned his certification in orthotics from Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center, Los Angeles, California, and became certified in orthotics in 1993.
