The Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC) has become a Cobble Stone Sponsor of the Amputee Coalition’s Paddy Rossbach Youth Camp for 2011. The sponsorship represents a contribution of $5,000 to the camp’s programs and activities. The five-day traditional camp is for children ages ten-17 who have limb loss or limb difference.
“BOC has been a corporate member with the Amputee Coalition since 2003 and we are grateful for their increased support of our youth camp,” said Kendra Calhoun, Amputee Coalition president and CEO. “This camp continues to provide opportunities for campers to meet other young amputees and to learn that they are not alone.”
“The youth camp gives youths with limb loss and limb difference a chance to have fun and learn from each other,” said Claudia Zacharias, president and CEO of BOC. “We are excited to increase our support of the camp through this sponsorship. We know this camp helps youths who attend improve their self-esteem and confidence and we are glad we can help send more youths in 2011.”
The sponsorship will assist the Amputee Coalition’s goal of bringing 100 youths to the camp in July, according to Calhoun.
