Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics, headquartered in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, has appointed Dan Brinkmann, CPO, as the managing practitioner of its Lexington, Kentucky, patient care facility.
Brinkmann is a graduate of the Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois, prosthetic and orthotic programs. He is a former co-founder of a private practice and former associate director of the Marshfield Clinic, Wisconsin, O&P department, has lectured to both students and colleagues, and has served as an American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics & Pedorthics (ABC) residency director. Brinkmann is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) and the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA).

Ability also announced the relocation of its Charlotte, North Carolina, patient care office. The new facility can accommodate three practitioners and is designed to meet patient needs with features that include wide hallways, wheelchair-accessible restrooms, a pediatrics specialty room, scanning room, and enlarged gait-training room with steps, ramps, and 24-foot parallel bars for walking amputees and brace wearers.
