Hanger Orthopedic Group, Austin, Texas, has named Kenneth W. Wilson as president and chief operating officer (COO) of its orthotic and prosthetic distribution business unit, SPS, headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia, effective immediately. In his new position, he will lead the operations and strategic direction of SPS, reporting to Hanger Orthopedic Group President and COO Vinit K. Asar. Current SPS President and COO Ron May will retire after 33 years with SPS on November 7.

Wilson brings more than 20 years of experience at Cardinal Health, headquartered in Dublin, Ohio, specializing in the delivery of medical/surgical and pharmaceutical products to physician offices, ambulatory surgery centers, clinical laboratories, and other outpatient care sites, most recently as Cardinal Health’s senior vice president/general manager.
