Medical Express PSI (MedEx PSI), the division of Texas-based MedEx that facilitates health insurance billing and offers full-service O&P care, has announced that it is exiting the prosthetics services business effective immediately. This decision will impact eight of the ten Texas locations, including South Austin, San Antonio, Tyler, Paris, The Woodlands, Baytown, Dallas, and Lubbock. These locations will maintain operation of their orthotics service business. A new prosthetics company, Kinetic Orthotic and Prosthetic Solutions, will open in the Houston location at 3100 Timmons Lane, Suite 101.
A subset of MedEx practitioners are leaving to form the new, non-affiliated company.
