The Northwestern University (Northwestern), Chicago, Illinois, Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center (RERC) for prosthetics and orthotics, is conducting an anonymous survey to investigate the opinions of the O&P community (including consumers, educators, engineers, family members or personal companions of consumers, orthotists, pedorthists, physicians, prosthetic/orthotic residents, prosthetic/orthotic students, prosthetists, researchers, therapists, etc.) regarding the direction that research in the O&P field should take over the next five to ten years. The survey is funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR).
The results of the survey will be compiled for discussion at the Northwestern RERC for prosthetics and orthotics State of the Science Meeting to be held in 2012 at the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center (NUPOC), and will be presented in a report as required by NIDRR, as well as at professional meetings and in publications.
The survey will be open until March 11.
