CMS Issues Revised Booklet for Claim Review Program

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has issued an updated booklet for its claim review programs, which covers the Recovery Audit Program (formerly known as Recovery Audit Contractors or RACs), and includes information on Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) and Program Safeguard Contractors (PSCs)/Zone Program Integrity Contractors (ZPICs). Medicare Claim Review Programs: MR, NCCI Edits, MUEs, CERT, and Recovery Audit Program can be accessed on the CMS website.
