Össur Asia, headquartered in Shanghai, China, has announced the opening of Össur Korea, Seoul.
Össur, Reykjavik, Iceland, technologies were introduced to Korea in the early 1990s by Össur business partner Park Chung-Ha and his company Park Prosthetics & Orthotics (PPO), Seoul.
“We are thankful to the Park family for their dedication and partnership over the past 20 years,” said Össur Asia President Arni Alvar Arason. “They have assisted in laying a strong foundation for the future.”
“The opportunity to bring leading-edge technologies and treatments to amputees, and those requiring high-quality orthotic solutions in Korea, is exciting,” said Össur Korea Managing Director Joseph Noh (Deock Woo). “We see a bright future for Össur in Korea and look forward to working closely with all leading institutions and clinical organizations in Korea.”
