Freedom Innovations, Irvine, California, was recognized with the 2012 Innovation Award, presented by the Association for Corporate Growth, Orange County California Chapter (ACG OC) on May 11. With eight categories, including growth and corporate responsibility, the Annual Awards Gala allows ACG OC and its members to pay tribute to the companies that have distinguished themselves as leaders in the Orange County business community.
Freedom Innovations was selected as the annual Innovation Award recipient due to its continuing contributions to advanced prosthetic technology. Products such the Plié® 2.0 microprocessor-controlled knee, the Renegade® A∙T foot, and the knee and ankle Powered Prosthetic System it licensed from Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee, Center for Intelligent Mechatronics, were cited as examples of the company’s commitment to advanced technology solutions that improve mobility and enable amputees worldwide to achieve their full potential.
