The University of Michigan Community Amputee Network (U-CAN), Ann Arbor, support group offered a full day of adaptive rock climbing at Planet Rock, Ann Arbor, on June 25. There were two sessions of adaptive climbing, one in the morning and afternoon, which gave more than 30 participants with physical challenges the opportunity to climb the wall. The clinic was led by noted amputee rock climber, Ronnie Dickson, CP, and assisted by area rock climbing enthusiasts and the Planet Rock staff.
A picnic lunch with adaptive golf and a scavenger hunt at a nearby park were also coordinated for those who wanted to participate.
