Ottobock, Duderstadt, Germany, was named the official supplier of technical service for athletes competing at the 2014 Paralympic Games in Sochi, Russia. The agreement was announced and signed at the XI International Investment Forum in Sochi. Within the framework of the signed agreement, Ottobock will provide a team of expert technicians to perform maintenance and repair of prostheses, orthoses, and wheelchairs used by athletes in competition as well as daily life.
The agreement was signed less than two weeks after the conclusion of the London 2012 Paralympic Games, where 80 Ottobock experts from 18 countries performed maintenance and repair services for the 4,250 athletes. Ottobock has provided technical service to the Paralympic Games since 1988.
