The Board of Certification/Accreditation, International (BOC) board of directors has announced the re-election of the following 2013 executive committee members:
- Chair: John P. Kenney, BOCO, president of Ongoing Care Solutions
- Vice Chair: James L. Hewlett, BOCO, CO, CII, durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) consultant for ConsultantsPRN.com, and educator and author for OandPEdu.com
- Secretary: R. Jeffrey Hedges, president of R.J. Hedges & Associates, New Florence, Pennsylvania
- Treasurer: William J. Powers, retired chief operating officer of the American Nurses Association and retired Air Force Medical Service Corps officer
- Immediate Past Chairwoman: Sharon L. Nichelson, COF, CMF, North Platte Foot Clinic, Nebraska
Member-at-Large Mark L. Parris, COF, owner of Parris Medical Services, Blue Ridge, Georgia, will serve his first term.
Transitioning off of the executive committee is James Newberry Jr., BOCPO, BOCPD, CPO, who served two terms as member-at-large. He is a facility accreditation site surveyor and test development volunteer for BOC’s orthotist, prosthetist, and pedorthist exams.
The executive committee began its term on January 1, with the first face-to-face meeting to be held in February to coincide with the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium in Orlando, Florida.
