The Amputee Coalition has announced its 2013 officers and board of directors. Serving are: Marshall J. Cohen of New York, returning to the position of chairman of the board; Dennis Strickland of Georgia, returning to the position of vice-chair; Dan Berschinski of Washington, DC., vice-chair, Jeffrey Lutz of Louisiana, returning to the position of treasurer; and Charles Steele of North Carolina, returning to the position of secretary. Each officer will serve for a one-year term.
Annie Berdy has been elected to the board of directors. She is president of Lex-Parc Properties, Scarsdale, New York, where she has worked since 1978. Berdy earned a bachelor of science degree in nursing from New York University, New York, and a graduate degree in conservation biology from the Columbia University Center for Environmental Research and Conservation, New York, and completed a biomimicry specialist program in 2012.
“I look forward to contributing to and collaborating with inspired and accomplished members of the Amputee Coalition community,” said Berdy. “I appreciate the opportunity to advance quality of care and support for people living with limb loss.”
Continuing on the Amputee Coalition Board are Pat Chelf, Minnesota; Michael Estrada, Georgia; Mahesh Mansukhani, California; Leslie Pitt Schneider, Minnesota; and Terrence P. Sheehan, MD, Maryland.
