The Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine (IPEM) has called for papers for its 2013 conference, Capability after Limb Loss: The Challenges of Measuring and Mastering Movement with an Artificial Limb, which is scheduled for September 26 in Birmingham, England. The abstracts, due by June 21, should “discuss the use of instrumented movement analysis in clinical or research contexts relating to lower limb amputee rehabilitation and prosthetics, e.g. to test capability, capacity or progress, measure or accelerate motor learning and assess or improve prosthesis setup,” according the conference website. The organizers also encourage submissions that implement new methods or challenge standard ones.
Complete submission details can be found on the conference website.
