A new practice, Sunshine Prosthetics and Orthotics, has opened at 1700 Route 23 North, Suite 180, Wayne, New Jersey, 07470. The telephone number is 973.696.8100. Owner Brooke Artesi, CP, BOCO, CPed, CFom, CMF, held an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony at the new patient care clinic and fabrication facility on May 16.

Artesi has been in the O&P profession for more than ten years; she specializes in pediatric orthotics. A transtibial amputee since age 15 as the result of a train accident, she is also involved in adaptive sports. Artesi competes annually in the Extremity Games, and has won awards in both rock climbing and kayaking.
“I am very happy to support new businesses…that provide much needed services to our local community, like the ones Brooke provides to her patients,” said Chris Vergano, mayor of Wayne, who attended the open house.
