Jan Hattingh, CP, LPO, CPO(SA), has opened Prosthetic Care Facility of Virginia, Leesburg. He has more than 30 years of clinical experience.
“We look forward to working with patients in Northern Virginia [and] helping them achieve their highest level of function, activity, and mobility,” Hattingh said. “Our facility provides state-of-the-art technology for customized fittings of body-powered as well as bionic prostheses and includes a gait analysis lab.”
Previously, Hattingh was the owner and principal prosthetist at Northwest Prosthetic and Orthotic Clinic, Seattle, Washington, as well as an adjunct lecturer at the University of Washington, Seattle. After leaving that practice in 2009, he returned to his native South Africa where he lectured and provided humanitarian care to children without medical insurance.
Hattingh is a member of the National Rehabilitation Association and the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA).
