The Midwest Chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) has donated $1,000 to support the Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF) Dale Yasukawa Scholarship, which is awarded annually to a student at Northwestern University Prosthetic-Orthotic Center (NUPOC), Chicago, Illinois. The scholarship, created in 2001, honors the memory of Dale Yasukawa, CP, who served as director of prosthetics at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (RIC), Illinois, in the department of prosthetic-orthotic clinical services after his education at NUPOC.
“The Midwest Chapter is proud to continue our support of the Dale Yasukawa Scholarship,” said Craig DeCamp, CO, BOCP, president of the Midwest Chapter of AAOP. Dale was a leader and past president of the Midwest Chapter and we are pleased to be part of a legacy of learning and education through his scholarship.”
