Scheck & Siress Prosthetics, headquartered in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, has announced that James Kaiser, CP, its CEO since 1983, has transferred his interest in the company to the remaining nine shareholders, effective August 2013. A replacement CEO has not been named yet.
Kaiser will continue to serve as a consultant to the board of directors. He will also continue to provide patient care at Scheck & Siress’ Hickory Hills, Illinois, location and work with the amputee clinic at Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, Wheaton, Illinois. In addition to his role at Scheck & Siress, he is active in the Chicago, Illinois, area community, lecturing to the physical medicine and rehabilitation residents at Loyola University Chicago, Rush University Medical Center, Chicago, and Marianjoy.
Kaiser, also a past president of the American Orthotic & Prosthetic Association (AOPA), started his career at Scheck & Siress as a prosthetic technician in 1974 and became a certified prosthetist in 1977.
