Mike “Monster” Schultz, an adaptive snocross and motocross racer, received a 2013 Popular Science Best of What’s New award in the health category for his Versa Foot sports prosthesis. The Versa Foot uses a FOX mountain bike shock for spring return and dampening. Schultz, the owner and founder of Biodapt, Pillager, Minnesota, designed and built the foot, which was also named a top-ten invention earlier this year by Popular Science.
