The National Association for the Advancement of Orthotics and Prosthetics (NAAOP) announced that Rebecca J. Hast has been elected to its board of directors; she began her service on January 1.
Hast has been president of Linkia, headquartered in Rockville, Maryland, since November 2005. Linkia is a subsidiary of Hanger, Austin, Texas. Prior to joining Linkia, she was with UnitedHealth Group, headquartered in Minnetonka, Minnesota, from 1999 to 2004. She held a variety of positions at UnitedHealth Group, including her last position as senior vice president, account development for the dental benefit providers, a wholly owned subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group’s Specialty Services Division (now Optum). Prior to joining UnitedHealth Group, Hast held management and leadership positions with Magellan Health Services, headquartered in Avon, Connecticut, and other healthcare insurance and services providers. She holds a bachelor of science degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
