Wright & Filippis, headquartered in Rochester Hills, Michigan, has sold the home medical equipment and respiratory services segments of its business to the respiratory care, infusion therapy, and medical equipment company Lincare, Clearwater, Florida. The terms of the sale, completed on June 30, were not disclosed.
“In Medicare’s eyes and the payers’ eyes, those businesses have moved to a commodity business,” A.J. Filippis, CEO, told HME News. “We decided we wanted to get back to our roots and focus on prosthetics and orthotics, complex rehab, and our accessibility business.”
