The Bryant Area Chamber of Commerce, Arkansas, has named Tonya Horton, CFom, its Woman of the Year, as part of its 2014 Community Commitment Awards. Horton is the marketing director at Horton’s Orthotics and Prosthetics, headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, and is the manager of the company’s patient care facility in Bryant, and of Horton Technology, a distributor of orthotic devices. She is also a member of the Arkansas State Orthotic and Prosthetic Association.
The award, presented to Horton at the Chamber’s Winter Banquet on January 29, is given to a person “who has made an outstanding contribution to the community in service and or leadership, has displayed dedication to the welfare of the Bryant community, and who opens paths so that others might follow, demonstrates a deliberate and focused effort to improve our quality of life,…acting as an inspiration to the community and a credit to his or her business or profession,” according to the Chamber’s website.
