The Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC) has been recognized by the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service for the third consecutive year. The Stevie Awards recognize achievements of call center, customer service, and sales professionals worldwide. BOC earned a silver award in the Innovation in Customer Service category and a bronze award in the Business Development Achievement category. Winners were announced February 27 during a gala banquet at the Bellagio Hotel, Las Vegas.
“Innovation through Integration” was the title of BOC’s customer service submission; the entry highlighted the unification of BOC’s certification and accreditation departments for the purpose of creating a consolidated approach to credentialing, and BOC’s collaboration in the development of CompWALK, an online software platform and mobile application designed to streamline the facility survey process. BOC featured the accomplishments of a recently created business development team in its business development submission, “BOC’s Story of Growth during Industry Contraction.” The essay documented BOC’s action plan in response to a 23 percent decrease in the overall durable medical equipment facility market.
