NHIC, the Jurisdiction A Durable Medical Equipment Medicare Administrative Contractor (DME MAC), announced the implementation of its Decision Desktop. The self-service tool allows a supplier to enter a claim control number (CCN) for a claim that has undergone complex medical review and see the claim decision and a detailed reason for a claim denial. Initial implementation of Decision Desktop will include claim information on lumbar-sacral orthoses remittances dated on or after February 15 and on lower-limb prosthetics remittances dated on or after April 15.
