The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (the Academy) clinical content committee has issued a call for presentations for the 42nd Academy Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium, to be held March 9-12, 2016, in Orlando, Florida. The submission deadline is July 31; the submission deadline for poster presentations is October 2.
The Academy invites abstract submissions in the following categories:
- Free Papers: Offer solutions to common problems, discuss patient and practice management techniques, and innovative uses of technology, or present current research findings.
- Thranhardt Lectures: Present clinical findings, research, statistical analysis, results, and conclusions. Thranhardt Lectures are chosen from the best of the free paper abstract submissions unless the author indicates otherwise on the submission form.
- Poster Presentations: Provide an overview of a clinically relevant subject, such as a case study, critical review of literature, or conclusions drawn from a new technique.
Abstracts must adopt the introduction, materials and methods, results, discussion, and conclusion (IMRAD) format and be submitted online. Complete submission guidelines are available at
