NCI, Reston, Virginia, a provider of information technology and professional services, announced that it has been awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract valued at $51.9 million to support the National Supplier Clearinghouse (NSC) for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The contract has a one-year base and four one-year option periods. NCI will apply advanced technology to adapt and improve the NSC program to aid in the prevention of fraud, waste, and abuse, while enabling rapid enrollment of qualified durable medical equipment, prosthetics, orthotics, and supplies (DMEPOS) suppliers to support the needs of Medicare beneficiaries nationwide, according to the announcement.
In April, CMS also awarded NCI a Zone Program Integrity Contractor (ZPIC) contract for Zone 3.
