The American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists announced that Lydia Middleton, MBA, CAE, is no longer the executive director of the Academy effective immediately. The Academy board of directors, under the leadership of President M. Jason Highsmith, DPT, PhD, CP, FAAOP, has formed a transition team to guide the search for a replacement.
“We want to thank Lydia for her service and wish her well in her future endeavors. We also look forward to continuing the Academy’s long tradition of excellent leadership,” Highsmith said.
Chellie Blondes, deputy executive director of the Academy, was selected by the board as interim executive director while a replacement is sought.
