The Amputee Coalition announced that Karen Lundquist has been named the new chief communications officer. She will be responsible for translating the organization’s 2020 strategic goals into programs that include external and internal communications; brand and reputation management; and oversight of publications, media relations, and social media. Lundquist brings over 20 years of executive experience to the position. Her expertise includes the full scope of professional communication, including social media and digital communication.
“I’ve known Karen since 2011, and her creativity and compassion are a great fit for our mission to empower people affected by limb loss to achieve their full potential,” said Amputee Coalition President and CEO Susan Stout.
Lundquist comes to the Amputee Coalition from Ottobock North America, Austin, Texas, where she was the regional director of communications. She holds a master’s of business communication from the University of St. Thomas and a bachelor of arts from Gustavus Adolphus College.
