Jacalyn Sickels, a student in the Master’s in Prosthetics and Orthotics program at Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center (NUPOC), has been awarded the Robert Frank Scholarship by the New Jersey chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists. Sickels wrote a narrative essay recounting her unique life experiences that led her to train for a career in P&O. The scholarship provides a $1,000 award that Sickels will use to defray costs associated with P&O graduate training. She graduated from Rutgers University in 2016 where she focused on applied kinesiology within the exercise science and sport studies major.
