Fellow listers-
My son, graduating high school this May, is a finalist for a large financial
scholarship for college. His plans are to follow Mom & Dad into this field
and he was chosen because of a heartfelt essay of his desire to help
amputees walk again. The scholarship recipient will be chosen based on an
idea for a community service project where he is to dedicate about 3 hours
each week throughout the entire school year. So this would be an ongoing,
year-long project. Does anyone have ideas or suggestions for a service
project specific to our field that might involve prosthetics, amputee
veterans, children with special needs or providing volunteer services to
this population?
