Burning Rubber- Shoe Sole Substitute?

Dr. Steven King

Aloha,

Does anyone know of an inexpensive substitute for “Shoe Goo TM”?

My patients are wearing out their footwear outsoles faster with the new dynamic and advanced composite AFO’s and orthotic systems due to their production of higher ground reaction forces.

It is difficult for our patients to continually have to replace or resole (if they can resole) their footwear.

They end up using a lot of sole patching-reinforcing material when they “burn rubber” in these faster systems.

It is almost impossible to get insurances to cover new shoes every two months for those in need.

Mahalo Nui Loa,
Steve
