This one-hour webinar will explore the contralateral prophylactic mastectomy. It will provide an overview of basic cancer statistics as well as basic surgical statistics. A review of the reasons for surgery, including genetic and psychosocial issues, will be discussed. We will explore public opinion, perceptions, misconceptions, and statistical trends and outcomes of prophylactic mastectomies.
