Has anyone had experience with using a voluntary opening split hook for
a fisherman (a proper fisherman with a boat, nets and lots of fish!). He
needs to hold the fish with the hook while gutting with his sound hand
and later hold a gutting knife in the hook. He tried it with a model 5
Hosmer hook but found the rubber surfaces too slippery to hold the fish.
It also needs to be resistant to salt water and durable. Any
