More toe walker

Derek Kozar

I should have added more info.

The patient has such high tone that the DF range in the AFO’s is never used..

The therapist is looking for a modification to use in the clinic, this would not be full time functional.

Is there such a device that easily attaches to a shoe or AFO that would move the GRF anterior to the knee?
I have not seen a simple device to use. I could make a much longer toe plate on a rigid AFO and use too large shoes, but wondered if anyone has something simple and cheap.

She mentioned an oopsie shoe?

I think she is using the completely wrong approach, but just trying to work with her (PT) on this one.

Thanks for the replies so far…will post responses.
