The following are most of the responses – hope this is useful to others too
Stabilo “Aquarellable”. They come in different colors and can write on
anything – plastic, metal, glass, paper – even wet plaster. They look like
colored pencils. The color doesn’t change when writing on wet surfaces
Faber Castell indelible pencils
Sharpie markers
Aquarelles Staedtlers work well.
Pencils used for tattoos to transfer stencils
Good old fashioned lipstick
Townsend seem to have an indelible pencil – not sure if for sale
Surgeons marking pens
Cascade orthopedics
