Fwd: Mailing items to patients

Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with mailing orthotic or prosthetic supplies to patients? For example, mastectomy patient who just needs a new bra, same style, size etc. Can you bill medicare for items that are mailed? What date do you use as the date of service, the date that you mail it, the date the patient received it or the date on the verification of receipt that is returned to you?
