Responses to Hydracadence question

Thank you for the very helpful suggestions. I received several similar suggestions, which are posted below as well as a number of other suggestions that I check with certain manufacturers. I do appreciate all of the feedback.

Original post.

I have a patient with several Hydracadence knee units he wishes to use. I would like to make a new socket and connect it to the knee using standard modular components for versatility in obtaining an optimal alignment. Does anyone have a simple, sound method for converting the odd, four hole pattern, threaded plate on top of the knee to a pyramid? It does not line up with a standard four hole pattern adapter.

Responses:

The only way I have heard of is to make an alignment plate with
countersunk screws out of 2025 Aluminum. You could rotate the socket
attachment 90 deg so it fits.

drill and tap a solid grace plate 4 holes to the knee and four for the pyramid

A simple thick aluminum plate could be cut out with hole spacing that matches the
Hydracadence knee and it could be bolted from the top with flat head screws going
down through the top of the knee. You would also have to drill the standard 4 hole
pattern we are using now into the aluminum plate and mount flat head screws up
though the plate and through a pyramid or whatever connector you are choosing and
top with a cone shaped washer and a nut. Flex Foot sells the cone shaped washers
if you need them.
